Job summary

Career Systems Development Corporation is hiring a Work Based Learning/Community Engagement Coordinator to plan and direct the School to Career/Work Based Learning program and community engagement efforts. The role interacts with students, employers, and staff to create meaningful work-based learning experiences.

Requirements include an Associates degree and two years in marketing, sales, or counseling; a Bachelors degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Associates degree and two years0 experience in marketing, sales, or counseling related areas.
• Preferred: Bachelors degree or 4 years professional experience working with youth; two years in marketing, sales, or counseling; supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists students in adjusting to Center life to enhance student retention by providing supervision, counseling, and acting as a positive role model.
• Prepares reports and documents in CIS, observes student behavior and progress toward goals.
• Maintains confidentiality and reports significant events to ensure health and safety.
• Develops and maintains work-based learning sites with employers and educators.
• Plans activities to bring together employers, educators, and staff for the programs success.
• Executes MOUs with employers and obtains feedback on skills obtained.
• Escorts employers on tours and promotes the School to Career program.
• Schedules and transports trainees to work sites and visits sites to monitor progress.
• Counsels trainees on evaluations and performs other duties as assigned.
