Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water Resources Engineer in Denver to perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, prepare plans and reports, and manage project tasks within a collaborative, employee-owned culture. The role emphasizes teamwork, multi-disciplinary coordination, and applying modeling and GIS tools to water resources projects.

Required are a PE license and a engineering degree, plus strong communication skills and experience with water resources.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent field.
Professional engineer (PE) license required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Active participant in our employee-owned culture.
Experience in water resources engineering projects.

Responsibilities

Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for flood risk reduction.
Prepare technical reports, memoranda, and planning documentation.
Provide project engineering and task management support.
Coordinate with project managers, technical leads, multidisciplinary teams, clients and agency representatives.
Collect, analyze, and present technical data in reports and meetings.
Perform QA/QC in accordance with HDR standards.
Support water resources planning, concept development, and permitting efforts.
Apply current modeling, GIS, and engineering tools to improve workflows.
Perform other duties as needed.
