Job summary

Carondelet High School seeks a Volunteer Assistant Varsity Swim Coach to support the swim program, assist practices, motivate athletes, and help with game strategy. The role emphasizes integrity, innovation, and inspiration while modeling leadership and joy for student-athletes.

The position is a seasonal stipend role requiring afternoon/evening availability, with CPR/First Aid/AED and NFHS Coaching certifications expected prior to coaching.

Qualifications

• High school or club and/or college-level coaching experience preferred.
• Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills.
• Must have knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport.
• Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.
• CPR, First Aid/AED, NFHS Coaching, and other certifications will be required prior to coaching.
• Volunteer, part-time, stipend role with afternoon and evening availability for practices and games.

Responsibilities

• Fosters a community spirit among coaches, student-athletes, and parents.
• Promotes sportsmanship and positive coaching practices.
• Instructs skills and techniques for individual and team achievement.
• Assist with developing game strategy and team practices for the Varsity team.
• Ensure proper maintenance of athletics equipment, uniforms, and facilities.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow medical/safety procedures for injuries.
