Qualifications

• Experience coaching volleyball at high school or college level preferred.
• Knowledge of volleyball rules and ability to teach all facets of the sport.
• Proven ability to work with pupils, parents, colleagues, and other citizens.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college preferred.
• CPR certification.
• Completion of the MIAA Coaches Education Class and/or other requirements by the MIAA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach athletes in volleyball skills for excellent achievement in the sport involved.
• Maintain records of team lists, injury reports, scores, stats, and reports to athletic office and newspapers.
• Be available during the school year to assist in guidance and counseling for scholastic achievement and college entrance.
• Determine athlete academic eligibility.
• Comply with MIAA Handbook and EHS Student Handbook requirements.
• Oversee safety conditions of the facility where the sport is played.
• Be present at each practice and all contests; supervise weight room, locker room, and showers.
• Enforce discipline and promote sportsmanship as directed by Principal and Athletic Department.
• Attend Athletic Department and EHS meetings related to the sport; stay informed on rule changes.
• Support the entire EHS staff and communicate with parents and other adults for resources.
• Supervise team members at home and away contests; distribute and collect uniforms and equipment.
