Job summary

Communication Data Link is seeking a Project Coordinator to manage the full life cycle of utility construction from Marion and surrounding Iowa areas. You will review job issue packets, translate POs into work orders for crews, and manage timelines to meet customer deadlines while coordinating with field teams and inventory.

The role requires reading aerial and underground cable prints, flagging routes, obtaining permits, and ensuring safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating utility construction projects.
• Ability to read construction prints.
• Strong communication and scheduling skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review job issue packets from customers and identify critical specifications.
• Translate the PO into a work order for crews and capture billable items.
• Manage timelines to meet deadlines and communicate with crews to ensure expectations.
• Read aerial and underground cable construction prints.
• Prepare for field work: flag routes, permits, locates, homeowner notifications.
• Coordinate stand-bys per project needs.
• Confirm job line items and communicate scope changes for approval.
• Coordinate with inventory to ensure materials are on site.
• Liaise with Foreman to ensure progress and address customer questions.
• Maintain high safety standards on the job site.
