CoreCivic is currently seeking a Treatment Counselor who is passionate about making lasting changes in the lives of offenders and upholding high standards of care in the industry.

The role involves conducting screenings, facilitating individual and group interventions, promoting engagement in treatment, maintaining confidentiality of records, and tracking progress to ensure completion of programs. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one year of relevant experience are required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or closely related field is required.
• One year of experience in mental health or substance use counseling is required.
• Licensure/certification where applicable.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age is 18 years.

Responsabilidades

• Interviews and assesses program participants using screening instruments and develops rapport to determine needs.
• Facilitates individual and group treatment interventions, and develops treatment plans.
• Promotes engagement in treatment and supports recovery using therapeutic tools.
• Maintains confidentiality of clinical files and documents according to protocols and laws.
• Monitors progress, documents treatment plans, and ensures completion of programs.
