Job summary

Independence Demolition, a division of Independence Excavating, seeks a Traveling Site Safety Specialist to join our safety team in the field. The role travels 100% to job sites, performing inspections, drills, training, and developing site-specific safety plans.

You will report to the Demolition Safety Manager and support OSHA/EPA/NFPA compliance while coordinating with subcontractors. Excellent benefits and career advancement await the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with safety-related coursework; AS/BS in progress or equivalent experience.
• OSHA 30 is required.
• 4 years' experience in construction safety or a managerial safety role.
• Willingness to travel 100% to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-house site inspections, fire drills, and safety training as required.
• Maintain and audit safety paperwork per project owner requirements and IX activities.
• Prepare post-incident reports and develop site-specific safety plans.
• Coordinate industrial hygiene compliance on job sites and monitor safety programs.
