Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field.
• Licensure by the State of North Carolina and certification by The National Therapeutic Recreation Certification Board in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient evaluations and determines appropriate interventions based on the patient's assessment in order to deliver the best care.
• Sets goals and plans interventions in order to measurably improve patient outcomes.
• Caries out therapeutic interventions that are individualized for the specific patient needs and modifies the session as needed.
• Supports accurate, thorough, and timely documentation meeting departmental requirements.
• Initiates discharge from therapy services and recommends referrals for additional therapy services if needed.
• Provides education to patients, families, and caregivers throughout the therapy program.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
