Job summary

New Hope Carolinas is seeking a licensed Recreation Therapist to support residents by planning and delivering therapeutic recreation activities that enhance physical, cognitive, social, and emotional functioning.

The ideal candidate will hold a CTRS certification and a Bachelor's degree in Recreation, with at least one year of experience, and will work within the treatment team to promote safety, progress, and engagement for youth in care at our Rock Hill, SC facility.

Qualifications

• CTRS certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in Recreation required.
• At least 1 year of experience in Recreation Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provides resident progress information to the Director of Recreation Therapy.
• Ensures resident safety during activities.
• Plans and supervises Recreation Therapy activities per treatment plans.
• Documents interventions and outcomes in the clinical record.
