Job summary

New School San Francisco is seeking Teaching Associates (TAs) to support lead teachers in transitional kindergarten and first grade. TAs will provide one-on-one or small group instruction, assist with classroom tasks, and ensure a positive learning environment.

The ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, with a commitment to equitable teaching approaches and experience working with diverse student populations. A competitive compensation package, including an hourly rate starting at $25 and health benefits, will be offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8am - 4:30pm.
• Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds.
• Bias towards curiosity and comfort with failure.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and reinforcement for teachers.
