Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking an Expanded Impact Teacher SE (EITSE) to extend student learning by planning, delivering, and monitoring instruction with a collaborative team, under the supervision of a Multi-Classroom Leader and principal.

The role emphasizes high expectations, data-informed planning, and leadership in curriculum development, with a 10-month calendar and a certified schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• NC Professional Educator's License in the subject area and grade level.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience with evidence of high-progress outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Adhere to the North Carolina Professional Teaching Standards.
• Set high expectations of achievement that are ambitious and measurable for students.
• Backwards plan to align all lessons, activities, and assessments in designated subject(s).
• Design instruction that is enriched and addresses appropriate Depth of Knowledge questioning.
• Use student data to design interventions that improve achievement across multiple classrooms.
• Hold students accountable for high expectations of behavior and engagement.
• Create classroom environments conducive to collaborative and individual learning.
• Lead schoolwide initiatives and participate in curriculum development or assessment committees.
• Partner with parents and community organizations to extend student learning opportunities.
• Tailor small group and individual instruction to meet student needs.
