Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools seeks an Expanded Impact Teacher 1 (EIT1) to expand instructional reach under a Multi-Classroom Leader. The role focuses on planning, delivering instruction, and monitoring progress to improve outcomes for every child.

The EIT1 works with a team, aligns with the School Improvement Plan, and supports the principal in implementing Board of Education policies. Ten-month calendar and supplemental pay are part of the Certified Schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • NC Professional Educator's License in the subject area and grade level.
  • At least 2 years of prior teaching experience.
  • Evidence of initiative and leadership of adults.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Adhere to the North Carolina Professional Teaching Standards.
  • Plan and prepare lessons aligned to standards and assessments.
  • Review student progress and adjust instruction to improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student learning.
  • Mentor and lead peers in instructional planning and differentiation.
  • Communicate regularly with families about student progress.
