As a Surety Claims Intern, you will support investigations and analyses of commercial and contract claims, interact with internal and external contacts, and gain exposure

Qualifications

• General understanding of basic analytical and financial techniques

• Ability to evaluate and recommend solutions to work-related problems
• Strong analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Review of surety claim demands and supporting documents
• Analyze bond terms and conditions and discuss defenses and obligations
• Assess claim validity and recommend resolutions to management
• Coordinate with outside counsel and review pleadings for litigation involving surety bonds
• Provide risk-based business support to underwriters based on potential claims
