Job summary

Pioneer Human Services seeks a Supported Employment Specialist to help individuals overcome barriers to work and participate fully in the community. You will provide coaching, job search support, and career planning within a person-centered framework.

Responsibilities include resume and interview assistance, rapid job search, and sustained follow-along supports. The role follows IPS fidelity and involves collaboration with partners across departments.

Qualifications

• AA degree in any related field required.
• 2 years' experience working with individuals who experience behavioral health challenges.
• Must obtain and maintain Agency Affiliated Counselor credential within 7 days of hire.
• Possess or pursue Certified Peer Counselor Credential through WA DOH within 30 days.
• Valid driver's license and ability to transport clients when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching, education, and skill-building for employment goals.
• Use a peer-informed, person-centered approach in all vocational decisions.
• Ensure trauma-informed, strengths-based service delivery.
• Identify career targets via a career profile with participant preferences.
• Assist with resumes, applications, interview prep tailored to goals.
• Provide financial education about wages, benefits, and decision making.
• Conduct rapid job search and employer outreach to build opportunities.
• Maintain records and document outcomes per program guidelines.
• Attend supervision and trainings; collaborate with the team.
