LifeWorks NW seeks a Supported Employment Specialist to assess clients’ employment potential, provide training, support job placements and work with employers to create opportunities in the community.

Role emphasizes fidelity to IPS and requires MHACBO credentialing, a bachelor’s degree in psychology/social work, and driving to client sites. Location is community-based, with home visits as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field.
• Must be MHACBO credentialed or eligible at hire.
• Minimum of three years in behavioral health with similar population.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Interviews clients and family to complete strengths-based vocational assessments.
• Counsels individuals to address personal or behavioral barriers to employment.
• Develops measurable service plans and monitors progress.
• Researches job openings and connects with employers for placements.
• Provides job coaching and follow-up support to ensure sustained employment.
• Maintains confidential records and prepares written reports.
• Coordinates with team members and community resources for client supports.
