Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health in Wisconsin seeks an Addiction Recovery Support Specialist to provide patient-centered SUD care and support across psychosocial, intellectual, physical, and spiritual needs. You will work within an interdisciplinary team, facilitate group sessions, and help develop and document treatment plans and discharge planning.

Responsibilities include counseling, case management, and coordination with staff to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Valid Wisconsin-Substance Abuse Counselor or CSAC/SAC certification in good standing.
• Minimum two years serving persons with mental health and substance use disorders.
• CPS certification or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of valid experience.
• CPR certification or Professional Rescue required upon hire; recertification as needed.
• First aid training required within 90 days of employment; driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide SUD care to assigned patients per training and credentialing.
• Conduct one-on-one sessions to support psychosocial, intellectual, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Assist patients in completing their Recovery Maintenance Plan.
• Implement components of patients’ interdisciplinary treatment plans.
• Report and record patient behaviors and progress toward treatment goals.
• Collaborate with staff on daily patient activities and program philosophy.
• Provide SUD group facilitation and document patient status.
• May complete clinical reports and discharge/assessment documents.
• Serve as case manager and maintain collateral contacts for continuing care.
• Coordinate therapy planning and discharge planning with the team.

Education

Wisconsin Substance Abuse Counselor/CSAC certification (in good standing)

2+ years experience with mental health & substance use disorders

Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certification or equivalent (Bachelor’s + 5 years)

CPR certification (AHA) or Professional Rescue

First aid training

Driver's license in good standing
