Job summary

Thrive Now Recovery Center in Iowa City, IA, seeks a CADC/IADC to join its clinical team. The role focuses on evidence-based counseling, trauma-informed care, and interdisciplinary collaboration to support recovery goals.

The counselor will provide individual and group sessions, develop treatment plans, and participate in discharge planning with medical and behavioral health colleagues. Schedule may include some evenings or weekends based on program needs.

Qualifications

• Current CADC or IADC credential recognized in Iowa, or ability to meet credentialing requirements.
• Experience providing individual and group counseling for SUD.
• Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of relapse prevention and recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling per patient needs and recovery goals.
• Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans with the team.
• Facilitate evidence-based, recovery-oriented groups and psychoeducation.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and comply with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
