Job summary

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated. Assumes the same responsibilities as a regular classroom teacher for students, equipment, materials and facilities.
• Checks the class roll and records attendance as instructed.
• Maintains routine and follows lesson plans to meet individual student needs and abilities.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and respectful behavior.
• Guides learning toward curriculum goals and maintains discipline as needed.
• Notifies staff of issues and assists administration with policies and rules.
• Reports on time for duties and works through the end of sub hours.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
