Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated, performing duties of a regular teacher as needed.
• Checks the class roll, records absences and tardiness as instructed.
• Maintains routine and follows lesson plans to meet students' needs and abilities.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and maturity.
• Encourages standards of behavior and manages classroom discipline.
• Notifies neighboring staff or principal of issues and medication needs as required.
• Leaves a work summary and relevant information for the regular teacher.
• Assists administration in applying school policies and rules.
• Arrives on time for assigned duties and works through sub hours.
• Acts as an interventionist or tutor if needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
