Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the East Texas Treatment Facility in Henderson, TX. This full-time role pays $25 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package as listed.

You will supervise the peer support specialist and conduct substance abuse counseling, coordinating with multiple departments to optimize DWI/SAFPF/ISF program resources in line with MTC and TDCJ directives.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent (GED).
• Must possess current licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or equivalent.
• Must maintain licensure/certification for continued employment.
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required, unless waived.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the peer support specialist and perform moderately complex counseling work.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement substance abuse counseling activities.
• Coordinate with other departments to maximize resources for DWI/SAFPF/ISF programs in compliance with directives.
• Maintain accurate case reports, records, and statistics; protect inmate confidentiality.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive treatment plan based on evaluation results.
• Lead recovery-oriented groups and provide outreach to connect inmates with community resources.
• Provide volunteer coordination, AA/NA activities, and staff training support.
• Ensure staff accountability and safety practices across the program.
