Job summary

New Season is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to engage with patients through individual, group, and family counseling within a collaborative treatment team. You will help identify and meet clinical needs to support overall well-being for individuals with Opioid Use Disorder.

For over 30 years, New Season Treatment Centers have provided safe, quality care. This role requires completing intakes, documenting progress, and delivering evidence-based treatment while adhering to program goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field.
• Must have one of the listed certifications: ACIT II w/ MATS, CADAC II, CADAC IV, ICAC, ICAC II, MAC, NCAC I, NCAC II, or NCAAC.
• Experience in the substance abuse field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork.
• Document patient progress through counseling and group sessions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans within required timeframes.
• Identify clinical and case management needs and address them.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling as required.
• Maintain at least 20 hours of direct patient contact weekly.
• Educate patients on treatment, health issues, and recovery steps.
• Obtain Urine Drug Screens and initial patient photo identification.
