Job summary

Wells Academy in Dearborn is seeking a paraprofessional to provide supplemental instructional support to eligible students. You will deliver targeted interventions, monitor progress, and report outcomes to teachers to guide instruction.

Qualifications

• Two years of college study (60 semester hours) or an associate's degree.
• Ability to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics instruction.
• Pass approved state assessments or an equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver interventions to students based on instructional plans; small group or individual instruction.
• Report outcomes to teachers with daily student outcome reports.
• Administer assessments and screeners to inform teacher decisions.
• Attend parent/teacher conferences as needed to support teacher communication with parents.
• Maintain student files and confidentiality per regulations.
• Maintain activity logs and time documentation to satisfy reporting requirements.
• Maintain communication with Title I and General Education Teachers on student progress.
• Participate in teams such as RTI, data, PBS, or school improvement teams.
• Assist in communicating and upholding behavior expectations and classroom safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
