Job summary

Centre for Neuro Skills is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist in Emeryville, CA. The role focuses on essential evaluations and therapies to support individuals with traumatic brain injuries, contributing to hope, independence, and meaningful life outcomes.

You will conduct patient evaluations, maintain thorough reports, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to tailor interventions and progress toward goals.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations to identify communication and cognitive issues, including conditions such as cognition, dysarthria, apraxia, language, dysfluency, and dysphagia.
• Maintain accurate records and reports; consult with patients, families, and therapists; communicate with insurance representatives.
• Instruct and supervise clinic aides and students; ensure daily treatment plans are completed.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient’s needs (e.g., Cognition Module, Attention Module, Auditory Rehabilitation Module).
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team; participate in team meetings and contribute to treatment strategies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and mentorship opportunities.
