Job summary

MissionCare at Bennington is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate, plan, direct, and administer therapy as prescribed by a physician. The role focuses on restoring function, preventing disability, and helping patients achieve maximum independence within their capabilities.

The SLP will work with patients and families, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (or eligibility for licensure).
• Strong clinical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Observe and evaluate treatment effectiveness; recommend changes to physicians when appropriate.
• Perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and conduct reassessments in accordance with policy.
• Develop and implement teaching plans based on identified learning needs; involve patients and families in the learning process.
• Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in speech therapy modalities.
• Treat patients and families with respect and dignity; address psychosocial needs as appropriate.
• Collaborate with patients and families in the development of care plans.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and the administrative team.
• Maintain accurate records related to staff and departmental operations.
