Job summary

Trinity Services, Inc. | Trinity School seeks a Special Education Teacher (Long-Term Substitute) to provide instructional continuity during an extended absence.

You will deliver tailored lessons, monitor IEP goals, and maintain data-driven progress for students with diverse needs. The role requires following the regular schedule during the school year and ESY, collaborating with therapists and staff, and communicating with families about student progress.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Illinois substitute teaching license (ISBE).
• Experience communicating with families regarding student progress.
• Ability to implement IEPs and state standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction for long-term substitute; follow absent teacher's schedule.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with IEPs and state standards.
• Implement school-wide behavioral systems and monitor progress.
• Prepare quarterly progress reports and document student data.
• Collaborate with clinicians (OTs, SLPs, BCBA) to support IEP goals.
• Attend IEP meetings and assist with progress monitoring.
