Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and Virginia teaching license preferred.
• Experience with special education, exceptional education, or alternative education preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, teachers, and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sight and sound supervision of assigned students per safety rules.
• Provide structured instruction during the regular teacher’s extended absence.
• Review and implement lesson plans, routines, and classroom management strategies.
• Support students with special or alternative education needs through proven practices.
• Maintain a safe, orderly classroom and communicate concerns to supervisors.
• Collaborate with staff to promote continuity of instruction and student support.
