Job summary

TSP Ed Co is seeking a compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Portsmouth, NH, supporting students in a school setting. You’ll collaborate with school staff, families, and related services to implement individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals.

You will develop engaging, differentiated lessons, monitor progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings, while fostering an inclusive environment that promotes academic, social-emotional, and functional growth.

Qualifications

• Active Special Education teaching credential/license appropriate for NH
• Experience with IEPs, accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instruction
• Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to helping students succeed
• Ability to meet all applicable school, licensing, and employment requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized instruction based on students’ IEP goals
• Provide specialized academic and behavioral support to students
• Create engaging, differentiated lessons that meet diverse learning needs
• Monitor and document student progress toward goals
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and classroom support strategies
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning
• Support students’ social-emotional, behavioral, communication, and functional development
• Maintain accurate student records and confidentiality

Education

Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or related field
