Job summary

TSP Ed Co is seeking a compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Portsmouth, NH, supporting students in a school setting. You’ll collaborate with school staff, families, and related services to implement individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals.

You will develop engaging, differentiated lessons, monitor progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings, while fostering an inclusive environment that promotes academic, social-emotional, and functional growth.

Qualifications

• Active Special Education teaching credential/license appropriate for NH
• Experience with IEPs, accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instruction

What You’ll Do

As a Special Education Teacher, you will work collaboratively with school staff, families, and related service providers to provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities may include:

• Developing and implementing individualized instruction based on students’ IEP goals
• Providing specialized academic and behavioral support to students
• Creating engaging, differentiated lessons that meet diverse learning needs
• Monitoring and documenting student progress toward individualized goals
• Implementing accommodations, modifications, and classroom support strategies
• Collaborating with general education teachers, related service providers, and school staff
• Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to student planning and goal development
• Supporting students’ social-emotional, behavioral, communication, and functional development
• Maintaining accurate student records and documentation
• Maintaining student confidentiality and following all school and TSP Ed Co policies

Qualifications

• Active Special Education teaching credential/license appropriate for practice in NH
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
• Experience working with children or adolescents preferred
• School-based and/or special education experience is a plus
• Knowledge of IEPs, accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instruction
• Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to helping students succeed
• Ability to meet all applicable school, licensing, and employment requirements
