Spokane International Academy (SIA) is seeking a Special Education teacher to serve 8th-12th grade. This position provides specially designed instruction, case management, and collaborative support to ensure students with disabilities have access to rigorous academic opportunities and meaningful growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid Washington State Special Education Teaching Certificate.
• Experience working with middle and/or high school students with disabilities.
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide specially designed instruction (SDI) aligned with student IEPs.
• Deliver services in individual, small-group, and inclusive classroom settings.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on data and student needs.
• Support students with academic, behavioral, executive functioning, and transition-related goals.
• Serve as case manager for assigned students.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with IDEA and Washington State regulations.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and collaborate with families, staff, and service providers.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation within IEP Online, including progress monitoring, service tracking, and compliance timelines.
• Ensure accommodations, modifications, and services are implemented consistently.
