Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to diagnose and address learning, social, and emotional skill gaps in a diverse student population.

You will collaborate with school teams and families to implement SESI’s evidence-based learning models and CASE PBIS framework, delivering personalized guidance and support in thoughtful instructional environments. You’ll contribute to data-driven instruction, develop individualized plans, and manage behavior

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid teaching credential appropriate to the role.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Use SESI’s instructional models, strategies, and curricula to teach knowledge and skills, nurture confidence and character, and meet the needs of all students.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Implement behavior management and intervention strategies, including de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint when necessary to maintain safety.
• Maintain student documents such as IEPs, BIPs, incident reports, and high-risk evaluation forms.
• Drive, record, and track student growth toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Supervise and monitor students, including to and from locations within the school.
