Job summary

Desert View Middle School is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide specialized instruction aligned with each student’s IEP. The role supports growth in a setting that values growth mindset and student achievement.

The teacher will work under the Principal and Special Education Director to assess progress, tailor instructional strategies, and coordinate IEP services while maintaining high standards of professionalism and communication with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Special Education teacher or relevant role.
• Knowledge of current special education methodologies.
• Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities.
• Ability to implement IEPs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide research-based instruction to meet each student's IEP goals.
• Assess progress and adjust instructional techniques as needed.
• Develop and implement annual IEPs with present levels and services.
• Coordinate delivery of special education services per IEP.
• Maintain professional relationships with students, staff, and families.
