Valley View Public School District is seeking a full-time Special Education Program Paraprofessional for the 2026/2027 school year at Bolingbrook High School in Bolingbrook, IL. The role involves assisting licensed staff to support students with disabilities across settings, per IEPs, and to aid in academic, functional, and social development.

The paraprofessional will help with instructional tasks, classroom management, communication with families, and use of assistive devices and Google Suite.

Qualifications

• Illinois Paraprofessional license or equivalent for support staff
• High school diploma or equivalent with 30 college hours
• Ability to support students with disabilities per IEPs and related plans
• Excellent written and verbal communication; maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Assist students with academic tasks and functional skills as directed by teacher
• Provide supervision during transitions and activities per IEP goals
• Support curriculum adaptations and use educational materials
• Record student progress and assist with data collection
• Use assistive technology and Google Suite for instruction
• Attend staff meetings and professional development as needed
• Collaborate with teachers to coordinate instructional plans
