Job summary

The Muscogee County School District is seeking a Paraprofessional in Special Education MO for immediate consideration in Columbus, GA. This position supports classrooms, assists with instructional activities, and helps meet the health and daily living needs of students with disabilities.

Responsibilities include clerical tasks, data collection, and collaboration with teaching staff to implement lesson plans, attend IEP meetings when required, and maintain a clean, safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 60 semester/100 quarter hours or GACE test passing score.
• Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate required.
• High school diploma or GED verification.

Responsibilities

• Assist assigned teaching personnel in supervision and instruction of students with special needs.
• Perform classroom clerical tasks and data collection under the teacher's direction.
• Assist with health care needs, daily living and behavior skills for students.
• Support movement of students and participate in IEP-related activities as needed.
• Contribute to a sanitary classroom environment and follow universal procedures.
