Qualifications

• Education: 48 semester or 60 quarter units from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: One year of student instructional activities or personal guidance within an organized program.
• A high school diploma is required.
• Two years of Paraeducator aide experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff in a variety of classroom and related areas.
• Prepare lesson outlines and plans in assigned areas.
• Plan, prepare and develop teaching aids for instruction.
• Present subject matter to students using diverse methods and techniques.
• Assist students individually or in groups with lesson assignments.
• Observe student progress and refer issues to the classroom teacher.
• Prepare classrooms and audio-visual equipment for use.
• Maintain classroom materials and equipment; manage supplies.
