Job summary

Corsicana ISD is seeking dedicated teachers for Self-Contained Elementary, ELAR, and Self-contained Special Education roles who must also be ESL certified immediately.

Responsibilities include developing or modifying curricula, implementing ARD/IEP plans, coordinating with staff and parents, and using technology to support learning.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, a Texas teaching certificate with special education endorsements, and at least one year of student teaching or internship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements.
• Knowledge of ARD Committee process and IEP goals.
• Minimum of one year student teaching or approved internship.
• Ability to modify curricula and prepare lessons for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD.
• Implement instructional programs and provide required documentation.
• Plan and use strategies, materials, and equipment aligned to learning styles.
• Modify regular curricula to assist special education students in regular classes.
• Participate in ARD meetings regularly.
• Assess student learning styles and adjust activities accordingly.
• Present subject matter per IEP guidelines and use varied media.
• Lead and supervise teacher aides and volunteers.
• Utilize technology in teaching and learning processes.
