Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; an Associates degree in Education or related field preferred.
• Prior paraprofessional experience preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
• Knowledge of classroom teaching methods and subject matter.

Responsibilities

• Guide and work through lesson plans with students, monitor tests, and assess mastery.
• Assist students in moving between classes and activities, including meals and routines.
• Monitor student behavior and provide positive reinforcement as needed.
• Assist teachers with lesson plans, projects, and materials preparation.
• Operate and utilize classroom equipment and technology per teacher directions.
• Assist with Individualized Education Plans and job-site training where applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
