Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area; Master’s in Education or related field preferred.
• New York State Education Department teacher certification is preferred; candidates may be considered for growth with strong potential.
• Experience with diverse learners, including ELL, IEP, trauma‑informed practices, is valued.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality instruction by teaching five classes and designing lessons aligned with NY State and Common Core standards.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
• Serve as advisor for 10–15 students, supporting social‑emotional growth.
• Prepare students for Regents, NWEA, PSAT, SAT, AP assessments and track progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, social workers, and student life teams to provide holistic support.
• Maintain open communication with students, families, and colleagues.
• Participate in professional development and stay engaged in your own learning.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment and implement effective management.
