Job summary

High Impact Tutoring (HIT) is seeking tutors to lead 3-4 small groups in a classroom or pull-out space for 10-12 week terms, focusing on building foundational math skills and aligning with Common Core standards.

You will plan with the math coach, collect and record daily assessment data, and communicate with teachers and the coaching team. This role offers up to 20 hours per week with up to four 50-minute sessions daily, plus prep time.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of Common Core math standards and their coherence from upper elementary to Algebra.
• Ability to facilitate instruction for small groups of students.
• Proven ability to build relationships with diverse students and families.
• Patience, persistence, and flexibility to explain key concepts in multiple ways.
• Strong time and task management skills.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and other online learning platforms and tools.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3-4 tutoring groups in a classroom or pull-out setting for 10- to 12-week terms.
• Meet and plan with the math coach and teaching team to internalize lessons and analyze student data.
• Collect, score, and record student assessment data daily.
• Record student attendance daily.
• Communicate issues with teachers and coach.
