Job summary

Marlora Post Acute Rehabilitation Hospital in Long Beach, CA seeks a full-time Speech Language Pathologist/Speech Therapist (SLP/ST) to join our team. You will design and provide speech-language services for SNF patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized treatment plans.

The role focuses on regaining patients' communication and swallowing abilities, with responsibilities including assessments, treatment planning, and documentation.

Qualifications

Must have a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for CF
License or credentialing as required in California (state license)
Minimum 2 years of SNF experience and availability on weekends

Responsibilities

Design and implement speech-language therapy programs for cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
Conduct comprehensive assessments and identify strengths/weaknesses in communication.
Develop and revise treatment plans with the healthcare team.
Provide individual and group SLP services to patients.
Maintain accurate progress records and therapy notes.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care.

Education

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or similarly titled area

ASHA CCC or eligibility for CF

State licensure or credentialing as required in California
