Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an SIU Investigator to join its Compliance and Investigation Services team. The role focuses on evaluating insurance claims with red flags for potential fraud, using policy knowledge and fraud components to determine reporting necessity.

Applicants must hold a Private Investigator license where required, have 5+ years in complex insurance investigations, and be able to work varied hours. Pay ranges from $27 to $32 per hour and a driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice required or equivalent experience.
• Licensed Private Investigator as required by state law.
• Minimum 5 years of complex insurance investigation experience.
• Strong knowledge of anti-fraud laws and insurance regulations.
• Typing 40+ words per minute with accuracy.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate suspected fraudulent insurance claims across multiple coverages (workers’ comp, liab, property, disability).
• Gather information via interviews, data collection and collaboration with clients, case managers, law enforcement and state insurance departments.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for investigations, reviews and audits.
• Produce clear, professional reports, memos, and letters.
• Develop strategic plans to achieve assignment objectives and communicate with clients and SIU supervisors.
