Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an SIU Investigator to independently investigate fraudulent insurance claims across workers’ compensation, general liability, property, and disability. The role requires strong documentation, data gathering, and collaboration with law enforcement and state agencies.

A PI license and five years of fraud investigations experience are preferred, with flexibility for weekends and irregular hours.

Qualifications

• Must possess one or more of the following:
• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent
• High School diploma or higher with 5+ years of demonstrated law enforcement experience focusing on fraud investigations
• Ability to be licensed as a Private Investigator as required by the state
• Post offer Allied Universal Investigations training/orientation course
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience conducting complex insurance investigations or adjusting complex insurance claims
• Strong understanding of anti-fraud laws, insurance regulations, and compliance standards in home state/region
• Proficient in using laptops and cell phones
• SIU compliance knowledge
• Ability to type 40+ words per minute with minimal error
• Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate suspected fraudulent insurance claims across multiple coverages.
• Gather information via interviews, data collection, and collaboration with clients, case managers, law enforcement, and state insurance departments.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for investigations, file reviews, and related tasks.
• Produce clear and professional reports, memos, and letters.
• Run database indices as needed and verify results.
• Develop a strategic plan to achieve assignment objectives with effective communication to clients and supervisors
