Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in the subject area to be taught.
• Certification to teach in New York State or a path to certification.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in diverse urban areas.
• Commitment to LAB’s mission and vision for excellence.
• Growth mindset and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to absorb feedback for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Internalize curriculum to prepare students for high school and college.
• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction (Common Core).
• Differentiate instruction and adhere to inclusion model with small-group work.
• Use formative and summative assessments to inform instruction.
• Lead advisories addressing social-emotional needs of scholars.
