Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Must hold Ohio Department of Education and Workforce permits or be eligible to obtain.
• Must meet Title I paraprofessional requirements.
• Demonstrated knowledge of secondary mathematics content (Algebra, Geometry).
• Experience tutoring/working with secondary students preferred.
• Knowledge of Ohio Learning Standards for Mathematics and effective instructional practices.
• Experience providing small-group or individualized math instruction preferred.
• Ability to use student data to identify skill gaps and instructional needs.
• Willingness to work as a team member.
• Good organizational skills.
• History of good attendance.
• Demonstrate computer usage skills (with emphasis on database management).
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal skills.
• Good public relations skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted mathematics intervention to students identified as needing additional academic support.
• Use student data to provide individualized and small-group instruction focused on closing skill gaps and improving mathematics proficiency.
