Job summary

The Department of Corrections, Division of Juvenile Corrections, is hiring a teacher to develop and implement an educational program for male and/or female juvenile offenders. You will provide individual and group instruction, evaluate progress, and prescribe remediation as needed, while completing all required assessments and reports.

The role requires Wisconsin teacher certification (grades 4-12 or PK-12) and certification in one of science areas.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Teacher; Grades 4-12 or PK-12 by WI DPI.
• Certification in General Science / Life Science or Environmental Studies.
• Ability to assess, document, and report student progress in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group instruction for juvenile offenders.
• Evaluate student progress and prescribe remediation as needed.
• Complete required documentation and participate in staffings/meetings.
