Baltimore County Public Schools is seeking a qualified School Social Worker to deliver comprehensive social work services addressing students’ social, emotional, and environmental needs that impact learning. The role includes crisis intervention, case management, and collaboration with families and school staff to support student success.

The position requires a master’s in social work, Maryland licensure or eligibility, and a Maryland Educator Professional Certificate with School Social Worker

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work from an accredited college or university.
• Maryland Educator Professional Certificate with School Social Worker endorsement.
• Possession of or eligibility for LMSW/LCSW/LCSW-C licensure as issued by the Maryland Board of Social Worker Examiners.
• Knowledge of social work principles and public education.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and collaborate with school staff.

Responsabilités

• Assess needs and provide direct interventions to students and families.
• Determine and implement intervention strategies including crisis support.
• Mobilize and coordinate community resources for students and families.
• Develop partnerships to expand resources for students and families.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student performance and SEL.
