Chesterfield County Public Schools is seeking a School Security Officer to safeguard students, staff and visitors. You will patrol assigned areas, enforce policies, assist in investigations, and collaborate with public safety agencies.

The role requires maintaining high visibility and readiness to respond to emergencies. Must be at least 21, have a high school diploma, and two years security experience; CPR/AED and First Aid certification required within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must possess considerable knowledge of safe and effective security procedures and methodologies.
• Must understand School Board policies and school regulations.
• Must be able to investigate, identify, and address problems in a calm, cooperative manner and handle sensitive issues.

Responsabilités

• Patrol assigned areas (buildings, grounds, parking lots) to prevent disruptions and ensure safety.
• Enforce school policies and procedures and assist in maintaining order during events.
• Assist administrators in investigations of violations by collecting statements and reviewing footage.
• Help in searches for illegal substances or weapons as directed.
• Provide first aid and CPR as appropriate and cooperate with public safety personnel.
• Prepare incident reports and maintain proper documentation.
