Job summary

Providence Public Schools (PPSD) seeks exceptional School Psychologists who are highly qualified to join our community of educators and families. Candidates should hold a CAGS, Master’s, or Ph.D in School Psychology, be fully certified or eligible for emergency certification, and possess strong data-analysis

Qualifications

• CAGS, Master's, or Ph.D in School Psychology from an accredited college or university.
• Knowledge of Rhode Island standards (RIELDS) or willingness to participate in Foundations Training within 1 year of hire.
• Fully certified or eligible for emergency certification; bilingual candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and assesses learning development and needs using assessment data.
• Performs psychological assessments, including observations, data collection, interpretation, and analysis.
• Prepares interpretive reports in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
• Provides interventions to support teaching and maximize learning and adjustment.
• Leads teams in identifying at-risk students and designing Tier 2/3 interventions with progress monitoring.
• Provides individual and group psychological support for social and academic adjustments.
• Collaborates with teachers to enhance skills, interpret data, and develop intervention plans.
