Job summary

Providence Public Schools seeks an exceptional School Psychologist to join our Student Support Services in Providence, RI. The role involves working with students aged 3–21 to promote achievement and well-being, in partnership with parents and school staff.

Responsibilities include assessments, IEP development, crisis intervention, and data-driven planning to support multi-tiered instructional frameworks. Immediate start with contingent funding noted.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• RIDe certification for PK-12 preferred; bilingual abilities a plus.
• Strong assessment, report writing and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess learning and behavioral needs of students ages 3-21.
• Conduct psychological evaluations, interpret data and prepare reports.
• Develop interventions, participate in IEP planning and service delivery.
• Provide crisis intervention and lead/Tier 2 and 3 supports as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and external agencies to promote student success.
