Job summary

Lincoln Public Schools is seeking a 12 Month Custodian for Culler Middle School in Lincoln, Nebraska. The role maintains a safe, clean, and sanitary environment across all buildings, classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, entryways, stairways, grounds, gyms, and other assigned areas, supporting student and staff wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, custodial experience is preferred, and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and move across stairs.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Previous custodial cleaning experience preferred.
• Physical ability: Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and carry this weight up and down stairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities: clean, safe, and orderly condition across all district sites.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum floors; waste management.
• Restroom cleaning and supply restocking.
• Follow chemical safety instructions for cleaners and equipment.
• Perform heavy-duty cleaning as directed.
• Report maintenance needs to supervisors immediately.
• Assist with snow removal when required.
