Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Nebraska Driver’s License.
• General hands-on custodial experience.
• Knowledge of safe use of cleaning materials, equipment, and hand/power tools.
• Ability to work from written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work alone as well as with a team.
• Professional cleaning experience helpful, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness in the assigned area/building.
• Operates vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, carpet extractors, and floor scrubbers.
• Uses and stores cleaning chemicals safely as provided by the district.
• Reports needed repairs to the Head Custodian or Custodial Supervisor.
• Responds to requests to keep the building running as directed.
• Checks heating/AC equipment and reports malfunctions to the supervisor.
